If the car is still under warranty I would have the dealership replace it for you.

Mine is a 2008, they still replaced it at no cost to me. I found a good dealer/service department.

If you need to replace it and you are out of warranty, do it yourself. The seal costs $30 and you can get the 11 plastic rivets that hold it in place, from Harbor Freight, for only a few dollars for a box of 20.

Don't buy them from the dealer. You will be charged $63 ($5.75 each)!

Neat alternative fix: Bought stainless steel screws at the hardware store (14 : 3/4). Fit perfectly and for only $1.09 for 2 screws x 6 bags. They look great and screw into the holes perfectly. Can use over and over again. Can paint black too if you want. A great looking alternative; I am very happy with how it turned out.

I have a 2012 and my seal is also torn. Thanks for the tips everyone! Do I have to buy the seal from the dealer?

Google Challenger hood seal. The results may direct you to a website or forum that you can get a part# from. I purchased mine online + a spare(recommended, it will fail again). It was a while back and don't recall the vendor but it was a Mopar vendor. Good luck.

Another great option is to use a garage door weather seal. It works great and will last forever.

    Here is a DIY video.

(Note- Instead of a screwdriver, you can use a metal trim removal tool or drill out the center of each plastic rivit. Also, a Poly Riviter gun and rivits can be purchased from Harbor Freight for $16.99).
