    F1 Tire Cold Weather Caution

Do not buy F1 Summer tires if the temperature in your area falls below 40 degrees in the winter. They are called three season tires for a reason. When it is cold, the rubber becomes hard and slippery and the tread and shoulder area can lose flexibility and crack.

Goodyear has also stated that F1s should not be stored in temps below 20 degrees. If they are subjected to these temperatures, they should be allowed to warm back to 40 degrees or above slowly over a 24-hour time frame.
