Which emblem? the 345?
345 cubic inches is roughly the size of the 5.7 liter or the hood and steering wheel emblem? It is called the "Fratzog". It was the emblem used by Dodge from 1962-1976. The "Pentastar" was used by Chrysler and on cars of the muscle era a small pentastar emblem was placed on the curbside (passenger) fender to denote that the car had a V8 Last edited by jonmandude; 11-24-2011 at 04:49 PM. |

I bought this in May. It was one of the last few PCP 6-speeds left unsold.
Yes, I sold the '72. A dealer in Sweden offered me ridiculous money. I couldn't say no.......but I should have Oh, if we only had some of the cars we sold or didn't buy because they were "not worth the money". I can think of 6 that stand out. I didn't purchase a '63 Corvette split window because $2000 was too much for the car. Or a 1969 Yenko Nova (not a Duece) for $12000 because that price was stupid high. Both are 6 digit cars now with the 427 Nova being over $500K. Doh!! I even turned down my ultimate dream car once, a 1969 Hurst S/C Rambler.....for $6500...mint. I sold a 1963 Impala Coupe for $2000. A 1971 Torino for $10. and the '72 Challenger for $17,000+ Over the past 30 years, I would bet that I have not purchased 3-4 dozen cars that are now too expensive to afford. You know what they say...if we only knew then what we know now.. |
