Always liked the look of the grille delete on the mustangs we have had but don't see anything similar for the challenger. Thinking of taking the front clip off this weekend and see what posibilities there are to take the grating out and leave the crome trim ring to see how it looks. Anyone tried anything with the grille on the challenger?

I haven't seen one for the challenger yet. I would like to see what yours ends up looking like. Make sure to take lots of pics and post them up here.

All I need is a weekend where I'm feeling brave, might be a good hood pins weekend now that I think about it.

I'm a little old school but will give it a try with pics and if my son's help maybe even video. I'm thinking after many exploritory looks at the grille and components that I'll use the dremel to cut each of the grate posts and remove (sounds easy). I also believe there is a location on the drivers side to remount the R/T badge near the same location. The lower grille will need the same treatment otherwise I think it will look odd. Then to top it off the hood scope which has a kit to make them functional so that they will not have the grating either. I guess worst case it looks awful and I have to buy a $500-600 upper grille and $80 lower grille replacement, lol. I'll get to it soon, still building up the courage.

Finally took on the grille delete

Sorry this took so long but finally took the time to try the delete. I'm old school and have always loved the look of the old body style Cudas,Challengers Cameros and Mustangs back in the 70s Trans Am series with the grilles deleted (of course that was typically with a hammer and crow bar) but still liked the look. My oldest son has had 3 Mustangs and the first two had delete kits. So this weekend he came over to help and we took the front clip off using aforum link one of you provided (thanks). Broke out the dremel and it turned out the way I hoped it would. I like the look now and next will be the black Mopar hood pins and black lanyards.
