I would love to give you feedback on what is "normal" for an 87 octane MPG tune. I went straight to the 93 octane "CAI Tune".

Dyno tuning is the modern version of "adjust something then take it around the block"..only better. Because you can connect to the ECU and AFR and see the results immediately. I work at a race shop (AMLS not musclecars) so I have access to a Mustang dyno. I put mine on after I did the tune and was happy. It put down 342whp and a HUGE 398rwtq. I know a good tuner (like Arrington or Mr. Norms) can get easily another 20whp out of it. I am hoping with a new 6.4L cam, I can get her into the high 380whp range and keep that torque.

I am trying to burn up the rest of that gas so I can go back to using the good gas. As soon as I am empty I will go back to 91 and use the 91 CAI tune. Even shifting feels different with the tune, its almost like I have to re learn the clutch for a smooth shift.

Buy a diablo sport tuner and you can adjust the throttle response. here is a link

I'm putting a supercharger in my SXT in a few weeks. I currently have a Pedal Commander, but after I put the supercharger in I am having a race shop tune it. If I do that, then I shouldn't need the Pedal Commander anymore, right?

I went back and forth with research on the throttle controllers vs. the tuners. I went with the tuner and glad I did because I can manipulate the throttle pretty much just like the pedal commander and the like do.

Is your car an automatic? Does it have the MDS on it? If so I would keep the pedal commander on because without some type of throttle control it will have the delay in throttle response.

Your tuner will probably use a Diablo or Bully Dog tuner the do the adjustments with. I had a Diablo Trinity on my 2010 RT which you could adjust the peddle response.
