Window Etching

Window etching is a good thing to have as additional theft deterrance.

However, do not pay the exorbitant prices charged by dealers. You can buy a kit, like I did, for only $29.99 and do it yourself. It is as easy as taping a stencil to the inside of your widow, dabbing it with a weak acid, and peeling the stencil away. You can do all 6 pieces of glass in 1 hour.

I had a phonecall few times for such a thing for my beamer.. It's cost 50euros which is quite much for useless thing imho. The car will be stolen if someone wants it. It goes to parts or different country and I cannot ever see it. So it doesnt matter if the windows are marked. And that's why I have insurance which covers if my car get's stolen..

My insurance company does not offer a discount for etching.
