Ok, so some of you probably remember me from last summer, asking for advice on buying or not buying a 2013 challenger SRT8 in PCP. Money was the main issue and not wanting to have regrets financially. I decided to wait it out, see what was done for 2015 MY. I am glad that I did. I like the 2015 even better. The only thing I don't like is that it appears PCP will NOT be offered as a color choice. Can anyone confirm a yes/no on that? Also, does anyone have start/end order dates for 2015 MY? I know they don't go into production till the end of the summer, but I'm unclear on changes throughout the MY as well as the ending of the order timeframe in 2015. My plan is to order one next spring or summer, depending on when the books close. Any help you guys can give me?

I too would love to hear what others have to say. I was looking at the 2014 Challenger--but with the 2015 just around the corner-- I was just test driving the 2014 earlier this summer at Arrigo Sawgrass down here in Florida.

I liked it --but not sure I "loved it". So what are people saying or hearing about the 2015?

What model are you looking at? The R/T or SRT?

@srt-tom, I am looking at the RT with the 6.4L Shaker, and scat pack upgrades. Maybe the SRT with the 6.4, but I think the best overall value and desirable features is in the 6.4 with scat pack and shaker, if you leave out the hellcat, of course, which would be too pricey for me at this stage no matter how much I'd like to have it lol... Somehow, saying I'm "settling" for 485 HP sounds like a good deal. :) Anyway - from everything I've read - and that's been a lot - the 6.4L RT is my choice, barring anything making me change my mind...

I would read this article for update news on changes to the 2015 Challenger.

2015 Dodge Challenger - colors, news, changes

You can't go wrong with the R/T Shaker model with th 6.4 Hemi. My 2009 SRT has the 6.1 Hemi and it is a blast to drive. You'll love yours.

The order banks have been open for all 2015 Challengers, except the Hellcat. Typically, it takes 8-10 weeks to receive you car.

Also, the rumor is that Hellcat can be ordered starting September 12.

I have an auto 2009 SRT. The trick in drag racing is to smoothly get the car moving before applying full throttle. A ton of wheel spin may look cool but your elasped time will suffer. The technique is going to vary depending on the track, temps, etc.

    Here is what I do:

    1. Drop rear tire pressure to 25 psi. Keep front at 32 psi.
    2. At all times kept the hood open, engine off until staged. EVIC should read about 170
    degrees at launch.
    3. Drive around the water box unless you have drag slicks.
    4. Turn off ESP.
    5. Put auto trans. In Drive. Let HAL shift.
    6. Load the torque convertor before you launch. Basically like doing a brakestand
without breaking the rear tires loose. Just hold your foot on the brake and rev the
    engine up to 1,500 rpm.
    7. Feather out of the hole and then WOT.

Just experiment with your launch and remember what you did for your best times.
