   With all the hood seals feeling, ripping and possibly scratching the paint is there any good reason why Dodge has not used a redesigned hood seal to eliminate this problem instead of just using the same old seal?

   Don't know the answer. A similar problem existed for years concerning cracked rocker panel moldings.
   
   Here, however, is a permanent solution to the hood seal problem that I previously posted.
