    For those of you new to the Challenger, here some interesting history. After Chrysler decided to make a production version of the 2006 Challenger car, everyone couldn't wait.

    To increase the anticipation, it had a website called the "Event Countdown," in which the days and hours were counted down to its unveiling at the Chicago Auto Show. I collected all of them. Very cool.

    Attached, is the last update, when the clock struck 11:00 AM CST, February 6, 2008- "The Challenger Is Here!"

    They used the concept car in all of the web pages because they did not want to reveal the new design until the official Chicago unveiling.

    Although there were many small differences, the designers did a great job in making the production car look very close to the concept car. Check out their comments:

    yep, that grill had the cross hairs in it...
