    It is not necessary to disconect the battery.

    Arrington performance. I suggest a carbon fiber tube if you get one. Amazing Heat dissipation. I was not able to touch any plastic tube after the car had been off for 5 minutes. Carbon fiber does very well getting rid of heat

    on my 2009 SE 3.5L when I had it , I actually got one off of Ebay. it was less than $100 and installed easy. filter was located behind the lower grille.
