Yep. The additive replaces half a quart, and because O’Reily’s won’t have my filter in until tomorrow, I will pick up another quart. :)

Think you are wasting money on royal purple for a v6. The Pennzoil synthetic oil does just fine. Along with a Mopar oil filter....., my own opinion.
Plus I wouldn’t put in any additive , stuff like that is for the older engines.

    Yep, Agree
With everything but the Pennzoil, I prefer Castrol EDGE 0W-40

I use 0W-40 Mobil 1, from Walmart, for my 2009 SRT. It sells for only $25 per jug ($22 when on sale).

I agree that expensive Royal Purple is not necessary. The Walmart website sells it for $40.22. Also, all premium oils have an additive package.

Bought the Royal Purple at Walmart for the same price as Mobil 1. 5w-20 is recommended for my car, or I think ow-20. Any reason you’re using the ow-40?

you can actually get your oil at Walmart for about $24 a jug. and yes you will need 0-20w oil, that is what my wife's 2016 Cherokee uses for her 3.6L and you may luck up and they may have Mopar filters there too. MO-349 is the one i use for here jeep. dont use the 0-40, your valve system for the eco drive wont work right. use what is recommended

0W-40 full synthetic oil is factory recommended for the 6.1 Hemi.
