Family member who was restoring his 70 Plum Crazy R/T passed and I bought his car. Joined to try to learn about restoration etc. Seems to have all parts and body metal has been replaced as necessary. Numbers matching 4 speed but engine is different. Need to learn how to interpret those numbers. When he got it, it was running, gorgeous white top and interior. Been in progress many years. Now I need to decide what to do. I'll be asking lots of questions I think.

Thanks all, I'll get some photos in and share them. Body is in incomplete primer mode now. I need to get it out of a storage building and bring it home. Just bought it before winter. Been asking around about restoring and boy does it sound expensive! I can wrench, but body and paint work, no. Sounds like that part may be a deal breaker for me. Have to decide what to do. Seems like he had gotten all the parts, lots of new stuff, weatherstrip kits, white vinyl top material, headliner, and even paint and clearcoat! To me, it appears it's only missing is a windshield and seat belts! Dash and steering wheel are already in the car and bubble wrapped so haven't even seen them unwrapped yet. The white seats are not cracked or anything either. He made it sound to me he was ready to prep it, paint it and put it together. More to come as I get it. Thanks again, any input greatly appreciated!

Trust me, you will NEVER get back what you put into it.

I WOULD do is what needs done and Drive and Enjoy it.

I would rather have a Car I can drive vs a 100 point car that looks pretty in the Garage
