891DAD2F-4456-4276-B82E-2207501ED9C7.png I have been thinking about buying a 6” powered polisher to be able to maintain my vehicles and remove swirl marks. I have been looking at these on Amazon and wondering if anyone has used them. Griots seem to get a good review.

I've used the Griot's 6" for about 6 years now. It works great especially with the variable speed. You'll be surprised at how much it can correct depending on how aggressive the polishing compound it that you're using. Their correction polish is good too. Being an orbital, its almost impossible to burn through the paint on edges, etc. Sometimes shopping around for the foam pads at sites like Auto Greek for better prices works. If you have a Harbor Freight by you, they sell pads and even have their own off-brand version of the orbital polisher for around $50.00 when on sale but I never tried it.

Thanks guys, I’ll be watching for sales coming up. Being in Canada we get nailed on exchange and taxes....Amazon is usually our best avenue for the tools.
I’ll look into a local supplier for the pads for sure.

    Yup, that’s just a straight conversion, $150 US = $200 Canadian.
Only way you can do better is preowned on EBay if you want to take the chance. There are several from $60 to $100 USD.
If you can order from Harbor Freight, they have a new Bauer 6” for $79.99. It’s a step up from their typical Pittsburgh brand. If you’re only using it a few times per year, this might be the way to go.
