    Can a Hemi beat a 1971 225 cubic inch slant six? Maybe, if it's a 6.2L Demon.

The owner of this car made a lot of performance modifications to it, including a supercharger. This formerly 145 hp. motor now generates 600 hp. and 550 lb./ft. It does the quarter in 10.56 sec. and 124 mph.

Awesome. I never would have thought you could pull that much power out of a slant six and still hold it together.

It is a very rugged motor. My first car had a slant six. The previous owner rarely changed the oil and most of the oil passages were gunked up and restricted. After I had them blown out, the engine ran great for another 40,000 miles until I sold the car.

toughest motor I have ever seen, back in the days of good ol dirt track racing with the old coupe bodies, seen a guy kick ass with a slant six in a modified 6 cyl. class.

I had a 72 Dart Swinger back in high school. The only way it would do a burnout was if I floored it while making a right hand turn. That slant six was bullet proof but I went through three sets of differential spider gears while I owned it. (Dodge dealer actually did the first replacement under warranty once I convinced them the car was always driven under normal conditions. They didn't question me on why the back right tire had less tread than the other three.) :33:
