Dodge is promoting this model (to pump up lagging sales) as a collector car. Over the past 10 years, there have been too many "limited edition" models. I doubt that this will be a collectable. The original Challenger had a 5-year run (1970-1974) and produced only 165,437 cars. Not that many survived because they were not considered collectable back then. Because of the high collector value of the original Challengers, many owners of new Challengers thought that this will happen to their cars. If Dodge only produced Challengers for 2-3 years, this might have happened again (especially with the SRT models). However, Dodge has produced over 500,000 Challengers since 2008!
