Looking for recommendations on fluid for my diff and manual transmission on my 2010 RT For the tranny I’ve read that Tremec recommend a GM synchromesh lube. Dodge spech an ATF-4 fluid. What have you been using?
I have a '10 with a 6-speed as well. I've had the car 18+ months and haven't checked either yet. But I just hit 41,000 on it. The same trans is supposedly in the Camaro, hense the GM Spec. I'd go with what Ma MoPar said, atho I've had many trans and synchro issues, the GM trans appearently doesn't. I've learned the peculiar steps to use the trans but it sure is disappointing. Have you had any issues with going in or out of gear, or the trans locking in gear?

The only time I’ve had any issue getting in or out of gear was when I was parked on a slope. Otherwise no issues yet but I’ve only had the car since April I have to wonder why it wouldn’t be a Tremec specifies fluid
I’m a big Lucas guy.. though I have had success with the synchromesh royal purple in the gearbox Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ive been looking at the Royal Purple Max Gear 75-90W which has the limited slip additives for the diff and RP Syncromax in the transmission. I have read several good reports on other sites. I can get this locally and think this is the way I’ll go.
Just a follow up....I did the change yesterday. I used the Syncromax in the trans and Max Gear 75W 140 in the diff. They were out of the 75W 90 and since this car will be stored through the cold months I don't think the higher heat rating will make any difference. The job went well using my Quickjack system. Braced the trans up with a jack stand and removed the cross member to get at the drain plug. I bought a bottle pump to pump the fluids up in to the fill ports. I believe this is the first time either have been changed. I let both drain for several hours after taking it out to warm it up. The diff fluid looked pretty dirty with lots of very fine sludge...or metal filings stuck to the magnet on the drain plug. No signs of and shavings though. The trans fluid looked pretty clean. I hope to get out for a test drive today to see if I notice any differences....once the rain quits
