The Challenger outsold the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro in the third quarter of 2019, with a model-record 18,301. Ford moved 16,823 Mustangs while Chevy finished a distant third, delivering just 12,275 Camaros over the past three months.

I read that last night. The challenger is the only muscle car I'd buy now a days. The Camaro and Mustang look nothing like the older ones. They both have lost the retro look.

The Challenger is selling more since it's the only one of the three that stayed true to its retro styling. The Mustang and Camaro are looking so similar. When I'm driving and one approaches me from the other direction, I can't tell if it's a Mustang of Camaro until it gets really close. I can spot a Challenger pretty far down the road.

    Here is the comparison between a 1970 and a 2008 Challenger. 19702008challenger.jpg 1970Comparison.jpg

The only problem with those comparisons is that the new challenger is much bigger than the old ones.

The designers describe the new Challenger as being "huskier."
