    2 things,
    1) On cheap cutouts, the mechanism tends to stop working due to heat damage.
    2) Get a good cutout set with a remote so you don't need to drill up into the cabin.

I would wonder how many people who have these on their cars even know when they're malfunctioning. As long as one side even opens a little, the car will make a good deal more noise. My guess is a decent amount of these are out there on cars and they are only partially working.

Just curious if you’d recommend getting the MFERs? I find when giving it throttle while in neutral or in park it lacks in volume. I have read that the valves do not open until a certain speed is achieved.
I also found these which look nicer installed

After the kits were installed, there was an increase in exhaust volume at various times. Mainly noticed more volume at idle and low throttle angles. I believe these are specifically times when the OEM valves were actively modulating exhaust flow.
Would I recommend them? Yeah, I would. They're a very economical way to boost the overal aural personality of the car while still preserving the full factory exhaust system. Is the result enough of a difference. For many I'd say yes but judging from what I see being done to a lot of cars out there, probably not for most.

I’m wondering how the sound would be using the MFER and adding the Blast’in Bobs resonator delete kit.
I used this on my 2010 RT which made a huge difference on the “aural experience”. May have been a bit harsh compared to stock but I liked it. The price is not bad, plus its easy to return back to stock, just need a slip fitting/ coupling to put the stock parts back on. I cant find a sound clip installed on a Hellcat to compare.

    Maybe a winter project....

Must admit, recently I've been thinking about playing with my exhaust some more. I just need to do some more research on these cars before I do anything. After playing with the exhaust on my Durango, I learned the Dodge Hemi has some unique sound characteristics that need to be considered. I hate raspy exhausts and the Hemi seems very raspy in most modded Challengers.
Regarding removing your resonators, I'd caution that move since you might end up with a drone issue, especially if you have an automatic. Can't remember what trans you have.
