I was finally able to get my car on a dyno machine yesterday. Some of you may remember that I installed a Ripp Heritage Edition supercharger on my V6 this spring and got a remote tune from a guy in Texas. Because of the remote tune I didn’t have any idea what my horsepower and torque numbers were. I do now. It came in at 438.9whp with no drop off. Next month I hope to do a couple official 1/4 mile runs, but as you can see from the picture below, the only drag strip within 150 miles of me is having trouble with the timing system and only doing 1/8 mile runs until that gets fixed. So if it’s not fixed by September 19, I will have to wait until next spring. Sucks, but what can you do.

Incredible, behave yourself out there! Discount Tire will be having a huge sale soon, you may want to pick up a few "extra" spares for your rear wheels. ;)

Does the max power crank value number (591.9) make any sense? My understanding is that number is generally 15% higher than whp.

I see they have 80% Drivetrain efficiency listed. I would assume they just add 20% to their measured value.

My first dyno, so I have no idea what the crank and efficiency numbers mean.

Yeah, seems way high to me too. I would put it right around 500-505. I usually use 85% too.

And the WCF (weather correction factor for barometric pressure, ambient temp and humidity) numbers! Depending on mods the wheel value may well be in the ballpark but the rest seems like smoke blowing which isn't foreign to a significant % of these operations, particularly if they're also responsible for some or all of the mod installations. My Magnusoned R/T with long tubes, corsa, and intake tops out at 480 whp. I have seen video however of the RIPP V6's pulling away from stock hemi's from rolling starts including Scat Packs! Envy your gas mileage Hopslayer!

I’m not sure why you would doubt the numbers. This was done on a Mustang dyno which from what I was told is the most accurate. Did a 1/4 mile pull on the way to work today. Dragy numbers were good.

Some sources report a stock Scat 1/4 mile time at 11.7. Be interesting to see how yours does.
