You have probably seen this, but just posting for others. Kind of sad, yet also expected.

I've got some of the original wall tiles from inside of the old Shell Station!

What bothers me most is that someone who moved to Cisco several years ago hauled in most of the abandoned junk cars, trucks and rv's that are laying around there. It took a lot of the old town feeling away.

Parts of Thelma and Louise were also filmed in Cisco. As well as a movie called Pontiac Moon starting Ted Danson.

A man that owned the Cisco Landing Store (Butch Brown) told me that the movie Geronimo was also filmed in the area. Unfortunately Butch Brown passed away several years ago. I had made (5) 8X10 photos of the VP pictures for him to hang on the wall in his store. Because people that visited the store always mentioned VP. But Butch got sick and passed away before the pictures were ever put up. His wife couldn't run the store so it was shut down.
The building that his store was in was the car service garage in the movie Pontiac Moon!

If someone sees that VP will be on a cable channel, drop a post so we can set our DVR's!

Did you know that the producers used a white Camaro for the big crash at the end of the movie?

    Of course! I was there!
Back up to my post and you will see the picture of that Camaro.
My dad took that picture in 1970 while we were in Cisco Utah where the crash scene was filmed.
We were on a 1 month vacation from Chicago heading west and got detoured around Cisco. That's where my dad took all 5 photos.
Something I'll never forget. I was only 11 years old at the time.
The photo was also used on a segment of Graveyard Cars presented by Alyssa.
The Director called me to get permission to use the photo. All I asked for was credits to be posted with the picture, which they did.

By the way, the Camaro was towed by a cable that ran between the bulldozer blades and was pulled by another Challenger way down the road.
If you watch the movie on BluRay you can see the cable recoiling behind the bulldozers.
