Just for a nice 70's throwback tough I have been wanting to have Stainless Steel Headlight Rings on my Challenger. I been trying to do this for over a year and finally got it about as I wanted.

I first got some 1" K&S Stainless Steel Strips .010" thick and after several attempts I came up with a solution to make the 12" length strips work. It took a lot of work trial and error.

After a massive CVA stroke I had in 2017 much of my Right Hand use has been affected but not stopping me to get the look down. I dont have a Ring Roller, nor a Metal Brake to of made them the way I originally wanted to do this. Using a set of extra Headlight Bezels I used them as jig forms and began shaping them and then marking for cutting them down on a Grinder.

I got of set of American Car Craft Headlight Trim Kit but what sucked was the Insert rings are Chromed Vinyl and they were too narrow and they were also damaged because they rolled them backwards too tight and damaged the inserts... I took the Trim Covers and taped them off and then sprayed with SEM Flat Black Self Etching Primer with 4 light coats and left the trim rings polished...

Then I drilled them for some extra Stainless Steel Screws to hold them in addition to the 3m adhesive. The flat Black Primer matches well for the Grille.

Without writing a Book here this is the end result...

I will do better photos later after a few more tweaks of trim...

Nice look. I think some of the best cosmetic mods are subtle ones like yours that take a few moments to catch. ("I know that's not stock, but what did he do?")

Thanks considering I have limited use of my Right Hand after a CVA Stroke in 17 it took a bit to do them and without all the tools for Fabrication I once had.
