Here is a great website that has compiled quarter-mile times for the classic, as well as modern performance cars.

You can clearly see that the modern-day cars are outperforming almost all of the classics.

Tom ---- 0 to 60 classic car times ??? opposed to a 0 to 60 2022 factory built 1320 challenger. They don't stand a chance. Now if you include a classic with BOOST????
Have many old friends and family that ???? Over the old guys but they pop a bull shit tin over a tube car that weighs less the 3000 pounds and call it a street racer... BULL SHIT in my eyes... I will take a new factory built no boost car any day of the week.... bobbymac

The point that I was making is that modern (non-boosted) muscle cars are faster than their ancestors from the late 60s/early 70s.

    For example:

    1968 Charger R/T 440- 6.5 sec.
    1968 Hemi Charger- 4.8 sec.
    1970 Challenger R/T 440-6- 5.8 sec.

    2008 Challenger SRT 6.1- 4.7 sec.
    2012 Charger SRT 392- 4.4 sec.
