Fusion Motors acquired a 1970 Plymouth Superbird- 440 4-Barrel. The air cleaner was signed by Richard Petty.

In this video, the NASCAR history of the Superbird and Daytona are discussed and the car is taken out for a cool street drive.

At the recent Barrett-Jackson auction, a red 1970 Hemi Superbird (1 of 135) sold for a record $1,500,000.

(Note- At the same auction, a 1971 Hemi-Cuda sold for $500,000).

Can you imagine how immediately Dodge would mop the floor with Shivy and Furd if they were allowed to bring the Hemi back in

Here are two videos to watch. The first explains how the radical design came about. The second is Jeff Dunham's Hemi Superbird.

Cool that a woman bought the Superbird in 1970 when it wasn't a popular car and that she has had it restored three times.

Here is a cool drive in Richard Petty's 1970 600 hp. Superbird. Listen to the start-up at the 6:54 minute mark!

Petty states that it was almost impossible to spin this car out because it was so stable at high speeds.

This YouTube guy bought at 1970 Superbird (528 c.i.), sight unseen, at an on-line auction, for $130,000.

Although the car looked great cosmetically, it had many problems such as the suspension, leaking oil cooler, overheating, inoperable fuel gauge, speedometer and horn and tune. To date, over $3,000 has been spent correcting these issues.
