Well, just did my first 1000 miles on my NEW 2010 SRT
(bought last week with 8,500 now 9569)
and only have found TWO PROBLEMS

    Finger prints

on the Black paint ( I know they are not all mine)

    And traction

Can not get good time on the 1/4 mile, 1/8 mile or 0-60 built in app :)

    Easy fix...
    Wipe finger prints off !

If your not getting good times then 1) make sure your built in app is accurate. 2) if your having trouble hooking, get some drag radials. Are you getting low 13's or high 12's? Manual or auto?

    1) The App is the built in to my SRT, so it must be accurate :)

    2) Planning on 275-40-20's

    3) Manual 6-speed, like all Sport Cars & Trucks should be

    Wash the car. :p

Its what happens with a black car. I love my black car and learn to live with it getting dirt quickly as when I wash it, its like a brand new car!

I wouldn't say "it must be accurate". But I have heard from people that have done the drag strip that they are pretty accurate. At least the '15's and 16's.

Are you planning Drag Radials because 275 alone does not guarantee better hooking or minimum tire spin.

I consider the SRT a muscle car, not a sports car. But it's user preference of course.:D

So you never mentioned what you got for times and/or what you feel a good times.
If it was traction problems, I'm guessing low to mid 13's.

Actually it is my Daily Driver.
I can't believe anyone could just garage a machine like this and drive it just on the weekends.

Tomorrow I will have had this 3 weeks, and have already put 1500 miles on it. Before I got it, they only averaged 1000 miles a year, WTF???

I have been looking but haven't found one. Have you posted up any pics of your Challenger? I'm just getting a glimpse of it in your avatar and would love to see more of it. If you haven't post a new thread with them. ;)

    Me or Diehard?
Here is mine :) Finally got my SRT

Yes, that was a 10 mile average at 80 MPH,
Even a 3-tank average is above 18MPG even "Playing" with a few Mustangs

Ceramic Coating for the paint may take care of the finger prints. I'd get a good set of Drag tires if the car is not hooking up.
