Hi everyone, I’m planning to replace the tires on my 2015 SXT+ and I would like to go a little larger than the original 245/45/20, is it possible to go larger than that? If it is, what is the limit. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks for the time

If the rims are 9" wide, then the 275/40-20's off the Hellcat will fit just fine.

Thanks! And that’s for front and back?

Yeah, square should be good. you MAY get away with some 285's on the rear, too.

But, hey, wheels are pretty cheap online if you want some extra width available if you plan on some performance upgrades. But, you have to get the unique SXT offset, I believe, or is it just the AWD one that had the unique hubs etc. that have the hub surface further from the center of the car?

Wait, I just checked Dodge.com to spec out an SXT, and the wheels are 20X8. I don't know what size were on the 2015's, however.

What is stamped on the rims right now?

    This will help you:
    https://www.wheel-size.com/size/dodge/challenger/2015/#trim-lc-2008-2024-usdm-36i--305

Looks like the stock offset is 24mm, but offsets of 22 to 26mm are also acceptable for that width.

For bigger widths, people use front 275 tires offset of 20mm and rear of 22 to 25mm with tires of 305mm and 315mm in width. If you go with 25 on the rear, you can shim the wheel out a bit if your available 305 or 315 tires get too snug with the inner fender liner

Evidently, 275's have a minimum rim width of 9.

Here's an example of some Hellcat replica wheels: https://factoryreproductions.com/shop/dodge/passenger/style-70/

The Super Track Pack option for a 2015 SXT Plus came with 8-inch wide wheels. You are limited to a 245/45-20 tire. If you want to go wider, you will have to buy wider wheels.

Yeah, it’s 8 inches according to everything I’ve read over the web so far.

There are other widths you can get, too, such a 255/45-20's, for example:
    https://www.tirerack.com/tires/Tire...&rearRatio=40&rearDiameter=17&performance=ALL
Also, some 265's should be possible:
    https://www.tirerack.com/tires/Tire...&rearRatio=40&rearDiameter=17&performance=ALL

But, as they say about medicine, "ask your health care professional."

Here's a site with some visuals for tire and rim sizes:

No problem. Research is my thing. Considering people put 295's on 9.5" wide rims, the 265's, which are 1.5" narrower or so should go on the 8" wide rims, too. Take a good look at them when mounted.

But, you can ask your tire shop to mount an example on the rim and see how it looks. Some internet wag like me isn't who is riding in your car, after all. If AND ONLY IF the tire will sit okay on the rim, you could stagger 265's rear and 255's front, but you may not drive in a way where that would even be necessary. With a square setup instead, you can put any tire on any corner.

Also, Nitto/Toyo tires are narrower for their designated size stated than are other brands. :D

I have seen Nitto 315's squeezed onto 9.5" rims, but they are known to be "squirmy" from side to side when cornering, so that put me off that idea. They sure like nice in person with those big stick-on Nitto white letters, though.
