Dodge is coming into the new decade by taking a look at its past. For the 2020 model run, it will offer a new retro trim for the Challenger, celebrating 50 years of the nameplate's existence.

The 2020 Dodge Challenger 50th Anniversary Edition will be available on four trim levels: the rear-wheel drive GT, the R/T Shaker, the R/T Scat Pack, and the Scat Pack Widebody models. All models save for the GT get a body-colored Shaker hood as standard. Dodge notes this is the first time the Shaker will be available with a Widebody Challenger.

The trim package will be available in seven different colors, all throwbacks to the original 1970 model: Frostbite, Hellraisin, Sinamon Stick, TorRed, F8 Green, Go Mango, and the newest color, Gold Rush. Dodge says it'll make 70 examples (another 1970 reference) in each color for each trim, which adds up to 1,960 units total.

Other cosmetic changes include a set of gold 20-inch wheels, a satin black-painted hood, and a bunch of 50th Anniversary badges scattered across the interior and exterior.

The 50th Anniversary trim option will cost $5,995 if you order the R/T Scat Pack or R/T Scat Pack Widebody, $5495 if you get it with the regular R/T, and $4995 if you option it with the GT. Order books opened in December 2019, with first deliveries happening in early Spring 2020.
