Is there options available that are not on the "Build" website ? I'm planning on trading in a 2015 Stingray which I love, but my Wife despises the seats and climbing out of it. It does have a choice of Touring, Track, Weather and Economy for fuel economy and handling along with launch control. Is there something similar in a Challenger Scat Pack wide body ? Are the optional hood pins functional ? I'll be getting an automatic.

    Btw, I currently have a 70 Cuda 383 4 speed and I'm a regular in the ebodys.org forums. :D

Nice! I can't help with the options question but it seems unlikely if not on the 'build' list. I was familiar with that when i bought my 2020 R/T last year. Aftermarket, definitely...
By the way, we sold our C6 for similar reasons, but mostly because of the lack of space inside. It actually was annoying how many things did NOT fit inside the car. Wonderful performance machines but after years of ownership, the negative issues get old.
Good luck with your new Challenger purchase.

The hood pins are "functional," but unnecessary. The stock hod has two latches. Hood pins on modern day cars are basically cosmetic. Back in the day, they were required on cars, like the 1969 Dodge Super Bee that had a lift-off fiberglass hood (i.e., no latches).

For an interesting read, see the following article on hood pins:

I ordered the Hood Pins for a 2021 Widebody and they didn't put them on. Said they were out of stock. After my car shipped they became available again. I cnx my 21 because of that and bought a used 2020 50th. Glad I did. The 50th's are nice...

    Again ... beautiful 'Cuda.

The Challenger is a BIG car. The seats are good and very comfortable for long trips. Only knock is that only the driver's seat is power (up/down/fore/aft) though the 2021s finally get a memory function for your settings.

The WideBody package already includes what I think is one of the most important features on any Scat Pack ... and that's the Adaptive Suspension. It's a separate option on the non-wide body Scat Packs. It provides a much better ride in Default (Street) mode than an R/T without it.

Through the SRT Pages you'll be able to choose from Default (Street,) Sport, and Track modes. And you can mix settings to create a custom mode. SRT Pages will also give you a bunch of vehicle information screens. And there be a Launch Control button on the upper console.

As long as you're in Defalut/Street, the MDS (Multi-Displacement System) will be turned on to provide better fuel economy by shutting off 4 cylinders when you're cruising at a steady speed. (Kicks in at 45mph ... I think. It's not available on my 6-speed manual.) The MDS deactivates when you go into Sport or Track.

If I was "building" my own Scat Pack ... I'd add the Plus Package to get the Radio/Drivers Seat/Mirror Memory and slightly nicer interior trim. I'd add the Drivers Convenience Group to get the HID headlights and Blind Spot and Rear Cross Path Detection system. And, I'd add the Technology Group to get the Adaptive Cruise, Forward Collision warning, and Automatic High Beam features. (Those features result in a little discount from Liberty Mutual.) .... AND ... just a personal preference, I'd add the Shaker Package because it's cool.

    No worries.

You're call on whether to get the Alpine or Harmon Kardon sound system and whether or not to get NAV. I'd get one of them instead of the base radio though. I have the Harmon Kardon in my '15 SRT 392 and like it. Though ... there are some owners who don't seem to care for it. Hey, I'm 62 and have listened to a lot of loud music and a lot of loud cars. Could be that I just don't hear its shortcomings.

My only complaint on the Wide Body package is that you can't get Fog Lights with that package. My night vision needs that little bit of extra light when I'm on a dark road.

Enjoy your search. These days you'll probably need to be prepared to travel a little to find exactly what you want. Good Luck.

Most likely I will have to order what I want. But, I've heard there has been major delays due to micro chip shortages. Is that true ?
