I have a 09 SRT8 with a 6.1 6 sp… I purchased the Mantic twin disk… installed by myself drove it for about 2k mi… Mantic USA reached out to me about a prototype dual disk to try out… I love the Mantic dual disk… I’m in the process of taking it out and putting the prototype in.. I’ll give an update this weekend

Shifting a powerful V8 must be fun, the last I had was a 76 F250 360 truck, and a Ford Granada with a 302. Not real powerful, but more fun than a slushbox.

I agree. I have a 6.1 and often use the automatic T-shifter to "manually" shift gears. It is a lot of fun. My wife complains, however, about the strong shifts hurting her neck. She calls it whiplash. lol.

I have the T shift as well as the paddles, it is a great transmission for a slush box. But if it were a standard, I would have no choice. I always leave mine in Sport mode, for firmer shifts. The Tazer puts me in custom mode on every start, and Eco turned off.

My thread is about a manual shift… not tip-tonic shift… yes they are quicker shifts…I’m trying to see what clutch people run

I’ve been hesitant to post about the prototype clutch… I had everything to install it. When I did the adapter ring that bolts to the flywheel and then the clutch bolts to the ring… well the threads pulled out. Mantic Clutch USA said no prob. I’ll send u 1… well it came from AUS. A week later… it’s all in and the clutch is good… I need to get with Mantic Clutch USA so he can drive the car… Geoff at Mantic USA is awesome.. I’ll post pics in a few days of it

Jeff @Mantic is awesome!!! Replaced the adapter ring… I installed the prototype clutch… he came out and drove it.. he likes the release and drivability… I like it but it doesn’t ride on the flywheel… you can have the clutch rebuilt so it will save having the flywheel cut… another 200 mi and I will put all the power to it and post how it will hold up
