    O.K.
I know there is a FEATURE to keep you from shifting into Reverse while the car is moving, which is cool,

but what is up with the occasional "SHIFT 1<>4 " light that comes on and makes it difficult to hit 2nd?

Yep, there is a solenoid that blocks the gates, forcing you to shift 1-4 when the conditions are right. There are two ways to turn it off:

    1. Get a skip-shift eliminator

    2. Get a Predator programmer and load up a tune

Eliminates annoying 1st to 4th gear shift. Installs in minutes.
Fits 08-18 3rd Gen Challenger and 92-17 Viper

Who the HELL thinks this shit up???? :025:

Can't believe I lived with this for 6-months.
I even installed the Short-Throw Hurst Shifter hoping to fix the problem.

Ordered $18 "Skip Shift" cable :emotions133:

And it's an easy solution as long as you can get the car up off of the ground to get to it.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit how long my Skip Shift Eliminator has been riding around in my trunk. Maybe this weekend. :)

    I have a 10 min rule....

10 min after I get home, the parts go on.
I have the same rule for firearms :biggun:

Now that I ordered the damn cable, I can’t get it to lock me out!

Even got the light this morning, and I forced it into 2nd.

So stupid to put a solenoid in to make you miss a shift

Sometime it will force you and sometimes it won't, it has to be the exact right conditions to do it. I only had it do it to me once before I install my CAGS Eliminator.
