Slashgear has assembled a list of the 8 best-designed muscle cars. While, I am pleased that three Mopasrs made the list, I take exception to many of its choices. For example, the 1971 'Cuda should have made the list over the 1970 version. Similarly, the 1969 Charger should have been selected over its predecessor.

    What would be your selections?

    Here is its list:

    1. Challenger (3rd gen.)

    2. 1970 'Cuda

    3. Charger (1st gen.)

    4. Firebird (3rd gen.)

    5. Camaro (1st gen.)

    6. Boss 302 Mustang (1969-1970)

    7. Mustang (S197)

    8. Torino (1st gen.)

That Firebird should have been called the "turd generation," any one before that generation would have been much better.

I agree. Also, the 1969 GTO Judge and the 1969 Chevelle SS should have made the list.

It figures that a 1971 did not make it? my god the world has stopped! IMO i think the "E" body was one of the cheapest built cars of the pony cars. i think the mustang was built better than the "E" body cars and i have had three of them and still have two of them to this day. the "E" body cars yes all of the "E" body cars are the sharpest of the pony cars. And again its one mans opinion for who ever wrote the list. looks like you will have to make up your own list with a 1971 cuda at the top of the list ? lol

Any list like that is full of personal opinion, and we all know what opinions are like... :D

Maybe so, but if you're really talking cheap, that's the Plymouth Duster/Dodge Demon. Those were really rattle trap POS's. They were fast, and light, and cool looking, but high quality wasn't one of the requirements.

No question. 100% Not even a hint of a doubt. :bowroflwerd6:

And a couple of the GM A-bodies have to be included, cuz they were not only fast, but nice cars for their time. They have a full frame, which is why so many have survived to today. Unlike the Camaro/Firebird where it's getting tougher to find ones (especially convertibles) that don't sag in the middle.

It is just one person's opinion. You could create a poll and make it whatever you wanted.
