About your screen name...

    With all the talk about changing screen names lately, it got me thinking, does anyone have an interesting story behind their screen name? My screen name comes from a mash-up of a couple things.when I was in the Navy, I was in Naval Air. Most of my time I was around jets. I was attached to VF101 for a while as an F14 plane captain and got to witness a lot of catapult launches. We called them cat-shots. Years later I had a Suzuki Katana 1100 and because it was quick, I likened it to the quick launches from catapults. So...Katshot was born!
    In the past 30 years, there's only been one person that actually asked me if my screen name had anything to do with aviation and he was a retired Navy pilot.

    My screen name.....I climb. Therefore, I am. After about 30 years of mountaineering in Colorado hiking and/or climbing almost every weekend, doing somewhere between 150K to 200K vertical feet a year I have seen fit to wear myself out. No regrets and I would do it again. So, I bask in the afterglow. I still get out there every so often.

    Katshot....My son spent 13 years in the navy and at least half of that on several carriers as an aviation ordinance man. Kitty Hawk, Independence, Constellation and the Eisenhower. Deployed to the gulf 5-6 times he loaded many a bomb and missile on an F-14. The planes came back empty. Somebody had a bad day.

    I’m not a fan of drinking IPAs, so a friend started calling me the Hopslayer.

    Well I bought my 1970 Challenger SE (Back when that meant SPECIAL)
    in 1978 (8-years after production)
    and I put a 426 ('66 Street) HEMI with 425HP (Stock)

    and so now I found my 2010 SRT Challenger that I bought
    in 2008 (again, 8-years after)
    and has 425 HP (Stock)

    The whole 40 years was pretty cool,
    Thought of doing to 50 years, but the 2020's have the WRONG Grill :)

    well. I am a Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan. and after doing some research, found out that he also drove a dodge. his first cup car was a 75 Charger. drove it at Charlotte in his first race. so....thats why mine is the Intimidator RT

    and actually first challenger before my RT was a 2009 SE , that one was the Intimidator SE...lol

    No mystery here.....2017 Redline HC, is for my 2017 Challenger SRT Hellcat in Redline Tri-coat pearl. :)
