Here is an interesting video showing the proper way to add a turbo to a 5.7 engine.

:badidea: heat, wear to engine failure is the enemy of all engines including the 5.7. The 6.4:shitsweak: internals aren't strong enough for this.:uhoh2:

That's some interesting info. If I still own mine when it's time for rebuilding a couple small changes will allow me to safely turn up my supercharger boost (Magnuson currently at 6 lbs which safely takes the 5.7 to 550 crank hp with headers, Corsa and intercooler). It's also common for twin turbo BMW owners to go to a single turbo for increased performance.

As Richard Holdener on Youtube is fond of saying: more boost needs more ring gap.
Also, though the much-vaunted, all-conquering gem known as the 5.7L Drag Pak engine with its 3.0L Best Generation So far Whipple blower that screams to 10,000 RPM and posts 1600hp is a 5.7L, of course, it is most resoundingly NOT made of the same stuff as the street 5.7L.

But, but why NOT put a turbo on it and just see how much power you can get and for how long? I mean, it may be egg-timer-duration, but, hey, the FUN!

So you can see how fast you blow up the engine?

No, to see how much power you can make before you convert the engine to a cloud of shrapnel!

Same with Supra owners. I think the overall efficiency of a single larger snail is what gets them most interested. Once a turbo is singing, big single or dual small ones don't seem to make much difference, per Richard Holdener.

Only 326 bucks. That is some cheap horsepower there.
