Are the stock DRL too bright??

I thought I would activate the 'daytime running lights' the other day but I'm thinking they are too bright. Both in the garage and outside too. Would you be upset if I was approaching or behind you?
Even the camera is having trouble with the lights.

 

Sorry, I can't focus on your yellow lights and if they'd bother me. I'm still chuckling at the bears sitting in the driver seats of your cars. LOL

 

^^^ Yeah, a tradition we started when we moved to rural NC in 2002. Bears Bears Bears! Wood signs with 'Welcome' out front and bear decor all throughout the house. Even the cars could not escape. My wife sews on an appropriate car patch on each bear's sweater (Mustang patch, Trans Am patch, etc...). My R/T bear says 'hello'.

 

I've met a number of Challengers on the road with the DRLs turned on and they haven't bothered me. I guess Dodge wanted to make sure that they'd make the car stand out on sunny days as well as overcast days.

 

^^^ Thanks for your reply. Maybe they are not too bad in the bright sun. I need to look again when it isn't so cloudy or dark. Still undecided.

 

I think the fact that they are amber makes them seem brighter than your traditional "white" DRL. I had a 97 Z28, which they also had amber DRL, and they seemed super bight as well. Either way they never bother me when I see them coming at me or behind me.

 

I like amber lights. The brighter the better.

 

So which car is faster in a straight line? The T/A or the 5.7 R/T

 

Extremely close. The Trans Am is 500 pounds lighter and definitely hooks up better with it's 'stock' tires. The 'stock' tires on my R/T (Goodyear) just don't seem wide enough and spin from a stop. Rolling starts are no problem at all. It's no big deal to me as I can count how many times I have floored it from a stop but it would be nice if there was no spin. I'll look into a wider or grippier tire when it's time to replace them, but that's years away.

 

So the tires still spin with the A8 R/T 5.7 Shaker?
Or get a SPWB with the 392 motor.
