If your Challenger has not been started for a week or more, do you ever hear lifter noise while starting it on a cold day?

To avoid this problem, do the following:

*Hold accelerator pedal to the floor
    *Crank until oil pressure indicated
*Release key or button and let starter shut off
*Crank with foot off accelerator pedal and it will start normally.

(Note- Holding the pedal to the floor shuts off the injection system to clear out engine in the event of flooding it).
