With EVs being the future of performance cars, exhaust manufacturers, like Borla, are seeking to adapt.

Borla has developed an active performance sound for the Ford Mach E vs Mustang. Reportably, there will be up to 1,000 exhaust sounds available and users will be able to customize their sound.

The system will be available for purchase sometime this fall.

How does this sound? Lame or cool?

I'm holding out until they add smoke and smell to it.
I only saw one speaker so it must not be a "dual" system. LOL

Lame. Worthless. Y’all have heard me say it before, this is just a waste of time and money and weight. Let electric cars sound like they do. They are what they are. Besides, you want to be able to tell when something doesn’t sound right.

However, I understand folks wanting their vehicles to sound “traditional”. It’s not the first time vehicle manufacturers have tried to cling to the past with features that don’t really add any true function. For example…

Well I'll have to say that the borla system sounds way better than the vacuum cleaner sound from Dodge .

This is some cool information from the Wikipedia site:

"The Horsey Horseless was an early automobile created by Uriah Smith, a Seventh-day Adventist preacher,[1] in Battle Creek, Michigan. It contained a wooden horse head and neck attached to the front of the car, intended to make it resemble a horse and carriage so it won't frighten horses on the road. It was known to be created in 1899 but it is unknown whether or not it was ever built. The horse head was hollow to hold fuel."

Sad...just Sad. Future Generations will be jealous our generation drove actual cars and not glorified golf carts.
