    Hello all,

Just traded a 2011 Ram for a 2013 Challenger R/T. What size Borla muffler do I go with? I've narrowed it down to these 2 part numbers...40658 or 40357. The sizes are slightly different, and I haven't crawled underneath my car yet to measure. Would they sound any different from each other? 2.25" inlet/outlet.

Not doing a cat back system or anything like that...just a muffler swap...so keep the opinions related to that if you would please.

Glad to be a part of the Challenger community now. Can't wait to hear from you guys/gals.

The difference should be the inlet & outlet of the muffler. Just taking off the suitcase muffler and replacing them with Borla should be an easy swap out. Any muffler shop should be able to help you out. They my need to add a couple of small pieces of straight pipe if the Borla's are a bit shorter than the suitcase. Good Luck with your mod. Also WELCOME to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome Rider. I understand it'll be an easy job to swap out. My question was really about the two part numbers I listed. They have the same inlet/outlet size...they are offset/offset like the stock mufflers are. They have different case sizes though. I was curious if anyone knew if one fit better than the other, or sounded better (or different) than the other one.

    Thanks again
