In case anyone is curious why rear 4-piston Brembo brake pads do not sweep the entire surface of the rotor (about 75%), as in previous years, here is the answer.

In 2020, Dodge specified smaller J-shaped pads with the SRT brake package (BR4 and BR7) to reduce noise complaints from customers about squeaking brakes.

    Here is the official explanation:

If they used no brake pads or brakes at all, the complaints about brake noise will completely disappear.

    What a BAD idea.

Agree, not a good idea, but it probably still has just as much braking force as the standard brakes......just with the Brembo name.

I did notice the smaller swept area on my 2020 Redeye when I got it....but when I put power stop pads on it, the larger swept area came back, and I have tons less brake dust to deal with.

I switched to Power Stop. Also, much much better.
