is it possible to swap cams in california and stay smog legal, or is anything other than stock spec a no go?
    I have a 2014 rt 5.7 6spd.

Most people start with a TUNER.
Without other mods, a Cam in a 5.7 would not be my 1st mod.
    Not like swapping cam's in a 440 or 340. . . .

Just curious what you are trying to accomplish?

Recommend speaking with a performance specialist in your area to determine what you can get away with, which may not be anything much in California!

so i have a diablo sport tuner, 85mm ported throttle body, cat back exhaust, a few other things, was thinking of cam swap for mid to top end pull, but after some deliberation now leaning towards headers/high flow cats, want more power (ALWAYS) but has to pass emissions (CA).

Even the additional exhaust changes you're considering will likely trigger CEL and code(s) which will store for awhile after deleted (mine does, but we have no testing and exhaust related CEL and code doesn't affect performance). See discussion 'P0420 Catalyst efficiency Code' and / or contact member Tom Joyce! My Diablo and HP tuner use couldn't prevent it from reoccurring.
