Since I bought my 2009 Challenger SRT, I have always changed my own oil. I enjoy working on my car and want to make sure things are done right. Oil changes don't have to be super expensive for our 7-quart Hemi engines. I bought several SRT oil filters a couple of years ago for only $10. And, I just bought two cases (12 quarts) of Mobil 1 0W-40 full synthetic oil for $29.99 per case on sale at BJ's Wholesale Warehouse- that's $5 per quart. So, my total was only $45 ($10 filter + $35 oil). It pays to shop around.
