The dry MOPAR CAI air filter is made by AEM. Here are the cleaning instructions:

    1. Unscrew the hose clamps on the the filter where it connects to the air intake.

    2. Remove the air filter from the air intake pipe.

    3. Tap all loose dirt off the filter and shake clean.

    4. Fill a bucket of water enough so that the entire filter can be submerged in it (excluding the filter neck) and then add 12 ounces of AEM filter cleaning solution to the water (Note- You can also use K & N Cleaner, Simple Green or dish soap). Submerge the filter in the bucket of water so that the water covers the entire filter but not the filter neck. Do not allow water to enter through the filter neck. Soak the filter for 10 minutes.

    5. Agitate the water by rotating the filter back and forth to further remove any remaining dirt and debris.

    6. Take the filter out of the water, empty the bucket and repeat steps 4, 5, 6, and 7.

    7. Take the filter out of the water, empty the bucket and allow the filter to air dry.

    8. Reinstall the filter. Installation is the reverse of removal.
