For you guys who don't have Brembos, what do you think of these custom Challenger caliper covers? They are a little pricey at $199 but they really look good. Dodge Challenger Caliper Covers - Dodge Challenger Brake Covers
Kicking around putting caliper covers on my "15 R/T Plus. Are these MGP the best ones to get? Any other recommendations? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/...make/dodge/model/challenger/submodel/r-t-plus
I like them and was hoping someone would respond that has had these MGP covers on their car for a while. My only concerns are: 1. Can the covers over time slide away from the face of the caliper and start hitting the spokes of the wheels? I can't tell if those clips can slid around on the caliper. 2. Since the covers are held on by those clips, could they rattle and cause brake noise? I remember years ago having to apply that blue "brake quiet" on disk pads to keep them from vibrating and causing squeaking.
thats why I like painting mine, don't have to worry about that. thinking about getting some that are already powder coated red. and just switch them out.
For less than $199 you can get powder coated calipers from PowerStop. I don;t have the Brembo's on my 2016, just the standard calipers, but PowerStop makes Red Powder Coated ones for those models. https://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/sto...b=SKU&storeId=10001&catalogId=10002&langId=-1
Thanks for all the replies. The Power Stop calipers I pulled up were single piston, my car has the Super Track Pack high performance brakes - BR6P; dual piston calipers. I think I’ll try a set of these covers before I’ll attempt to paint. I like that they are smooth and cover the caliper and pad... so hopefully easier to keep clean.
