I attended the annual Dixie Gas & Petroliana show yesterday in Sevierville TN. There were over 400 vendors there this year and the setting was ideal as usual. I'll post another thread eventually of what I bought but I wanted to share this disappointment. At the back of one of the vendor's booths was this Mopar sign. I couldn't wait to get to it and see the price on the back. i was hoping $100 - $125 or so since it was plastic, not steel or porcelain. $425.

I kept thinking about it over and over but I passed. I didn't bring that kid of money anyway and would have had to go to an ATM which was probably 10 miles away.

It sure would be a beauty in my garage but it isn't the first thing I have had to skip due to cost.

^^ Yes, I have many replicas to compliment my real ones. The tin stuff can be real junk sometimes. It depends though as I have some cool looking $10 ones. It's up to each individual what's acceptable in their garage. Many of my replica signs are decent quality, like porcelain or similar.

This Mopar was original and in excellent condition. Nothing like the real thing. Bummer!

Here are some of the items I did purchase at the show. The Sinclair was a real nice addition for my collection and it's approaching 100 years old, before the 'dino' design came out in the 30's.
I already had the tall green 4 oz Mopar oilers but I can never turn down a good deal on more. If anyone wants one, send me a PM. $50 plus $5 shipping. They are NOS, never opened. The ones on ebay are running around $80 'used'. I don't mind sharing good deals.

That's one heck of a clock. I almost didn't notice the oiler.

I also changed my shelf by my Challenger. Nothing as good as yours but I like it.
