Hello! Fellow Challenger, Mopar lover here. Had an 12 SXT + with the Super Sport/SST pckg, LET ME TELL YA, I had a lot of the regular muscle cars growing up from Chevelle's to Z28's to even a Temptest with a worked 350, in the +, if I disable TC, put it in Sport mode, I had no problem leaving two lines, was def faster than the previous vehicles I had, awesome for a six and turned me into a MOPAR head for sure. HOWEVER, my dream one day was to get same type of car as the SXT, (have always loved the 08 to 14's models much better than 15 to last yr, both ext and int), but obviously wanted like at least a Shaker, maybe a nice T/A, seen some awesome RT's even, just figured one day I'll get to upgrade to one of the bigger boys, WELL a month or so ago she got wasted and someone pancaked me in the ass, totaled my baby! HOWEVER my absolute biggest possible dream has FINALLY come true, I have a new baby tomorrow I'm putting on the road a beautiful 14 SRT8! Same black paint job, but has a red stripe, Now I loved my SXT +, it was great for what it was, but it isn't even near the same league or level, not in same sentence, the SRT8 will bang your head into the seat and KEEP it there, can't freakin wait, talk about BURNOUTS?????? When I test drove it just tap the pedal some and it'll smoke the back tires easily, would never have to "powerbreak" in this car, I absolutely love it already, gotta def find cheaper ins but oh man, gonna have a blast. Gonna try and baby it most of the time, I mean, if the kids egg you on at the light whereas their muffler is bigger than their car, they obviously don't know shit if they don't know what that 392 HEMI badge on the fenders mean. Will try and post pics of both old/new once I can figure it out, thx for letting me share
You will really like this car. I agree with the stupidly of a lot of kids with fart mufflers cars these days. I had many of these uneducated kids want to race my 6 cylinder Cuda. But they had no idea what 440-6 stands for.
I am more of a chrome guy vs. Black and dark grey. Maybe one day I'll find the chrome ones from my black 12 and put them on the 14. Then I'll have to change the gas cap too but that's no big deal. I'm not even sure if you could put the same SXT + rims on the SRT8, but one day I'll prob go back to more chrome looking. And yeah, I absolutely love the car, it's a beast.
