I've got over 600mi. So I'm past the break-in. How long should I wait for a full synthetic oil changeover? Is an oil catcher recommended and what about warranty?

I would for sure get a catch can. They fill up with a lot of oil in between intervals and you don't want that stuff getting caked into your engine.

    Big Challenge,

At 6440 miles I went full synthetic...engine, trans and rear diff.
Yes, get a catch can. BT is a good brand.
FYI, my catch can has absorbed 162 mL in 6655 miles. That amounts to 24 mL/1000 miles (0.81 oz / 1000 mi).
In my case it will catch 1 quart of oil in 39.4k miles. Or 2.5 quarts of oil in 100,000 miles.
That may not sound like much, but consider pouring 1 quart of oil in your intake manifold every 40,000 mi.
    No thanks.
