I couldn't find the 1971 version, but this one was good.

Watched this one the other day. It just so makes my want to seek a vintage Mopar muscle car. Nothing I love more than that old 68-69 Charger.

Thanks for posting that link. Ok, full disclosure - I never saw the movie until I downloaded it from your link and watched it a couple weeks ago. I know, huh? BLASPHEMY!!! But, honestly, I was 12 when that came out and growing up in rural upstate NY we didn't go to movies much.

Wow! That is such a '70s movie! It's just got that '70s vibe. And I had to laugh and back it up to show my wife the scene where Kowalski is at the shack of the hippy biker guy, I'm like, "Look at his headband!". He's got a headband made out of pop tops from beer cans. I'll bet most of the youngsters today watching this film would never pick up on that. And check out what passes for technology in 1970. Why is there an old computer tape drive in the radio station? Is that something radio stations needed? Or maybe the director saw it and thought it looked like it belonged... And the board in the California police station, is that really something they had back then? The car ran over the rubber tube switch in the road and a light lit up on the board. How did they know it was Kowalski??? Just saying....

So you are another NY Florida Implant? My brother is a NY Implant as well. Hell Florida is just an extension of NY, without the high taxes, and ridiculous laws.

The no-state-income-tax thing is nice. But we have our share of ridiculous laws, too. :(

At least at the end of the newer remake they used a challenger to hit the dozer at the end not like the first movie they used a camaro. still a good movie though.
