    Hi Everyone,

The 2009 Challenger SE that I got from an auction (won’t do that again) has a squealing sound coming from the belt area.

I noticed that the harmonic balancer is getting hot in a hurry. The balancer bolt itself is stone cold as in the engine block around it. It looks like to the naked eye that the balance itself is not running very true.

The vehicle has a bent engine cradle but I can’t see any way for the balancer to have taken any impact at all…..?

Anyone have any ideas? Is it worth unbolting it and re-seating it?

Anyone ideas or advice would be great!

    Thanks,

    Greg

Hows does the belt look? Have you taken it in to have it inspected be a dodge dealer or service tech? I would before something go really bad.
