Hot Cars compared the Hellcat to the Scat Pack and offered its opinion on which is the best buy. https://www.hotcars.com/dodge-challenger-hellcat-vs-scat-pack/
I would never get a Scat Pack if I could get a Hellcat. But, with the extra dosh available if I got a Scat Pack, it's twin turbos and a variety of things for the Scat Pack.
SRT tom, I enjoyed the reading. I ask why wasn't the 1320 option mentioned... I doubt a 2021 challenger scat pack would be a match for a 1320. The 1320 was around a 9K option 'after' the R/T scat pack challenger option... From an old motor head point of view - the 1320 hauls ass.... bobbymac
The writer was just making a point that a Scat Pack is the more practical performance car. It was not trying to convince buyers to buy the more powerful and faster Hellcat. Here is a quote from the article: "When comparing efficiency-to-power, the Scat Pack Challenger does seem like the more reasonable choice to make." A 1320 is specifically made for the drag strip. According to Dodge, an 11.7-second quarter-mile run at 115 mph is possible.
