Some Challenger owners have had their oil dipsticks become stuck and sometimes break off from the yellow O-ring handle. To prevent your dipstick from becoming stuck (especially when hot), apply lithium grease to the rubber o-rings on the dipstick twice a year. If the handle becomes separated from the metal dipstick, there are three ways to retrieve it: 1. Buy a new oil dipstick and screw it into the dipstick tube. You may be able to go down far enough to grab the old dip stick and pull it out. 2. There's a nut on the front exhaust manifold stud- loosen it and the dipstick tube can be pulled up. 3. If all else fails, you can cut off the top of the handle and then drill a 1/8" hole into it. Then slide the remaining cylinder onto the tip of the dipstick. Then screw a drywall screw into the cylinder. Finally, grab on to the top of the screw with a pair of pliers and carefully pull out the handle that is attached to the dipstick. See video, below.
