    I have a 2012 R/T.
I just had a Kenwood DDX6706S installed. Everything works except for the AM. I get nothing.
I called the installer and they told me that is due to the way Dodge handles the AM antenna. This can't be fixed.
I called Kenwood and they said it should work. It worked fine in the radio the car came with.
    Any ideas?

I agree with Kenwood .... if the original radio worked for AM, then the new radio should work on the same antenna. There's no way you're the only person to ever install a Kenwood DDX6706S in a Dodge Challenger. Hard to believe that everyone who buys a Kenwood to put in their Dodge decides to live without AM.

I didn’t know people still listen to AM radio. Around here there’s nothing worth listening to.

Well, as it turns out, the stock radio has an internal AM booster which you lose when installing a new radio. I had them add an external AM booster and antenna which worked but had static. I decided to use IHeart for the AM stations which I like better. This Kenwood radio with Android Auto is amazing!!
