A Dodge Viper, owned by Will Dugas, is now the world's fastest Viper, running a 6.89 sec. quarter mile. The car is powered by the fifth-gen Viper V-10 that displaces at 8.4 liters. Instead of making 640 horses, it makes 3,250 of them! Complementing it are a couple of 88 mm. Garrett turbochargers and performance headers. Bigger injectors, a high-performance intake manifold, and a five-inch dual exhaust system, a MoTeC ECU, a built three-speed Turbo 400 automatic gearbox, an independent rear suspension and Mickey Thompson drag tires. The car runs on ethanol diet which boosts the performance because it has a higher octane when compared to gas and provides a cooler intake charge that results in more power.
